According to U.S. Custom Laws, an antique is an object that is at least 100 years old.

Most American Iridescent Stretch Glass, defined as pressed or blown-moulded glass with little or no pattern that has been iridized, was produced in the 1920s with some being produced as early as 1910 and some as late as the mid-1930s. Nine American glass companies produced Iridescent Stretch Glass:

Fenton Art Glass Co.
Imperial Glass Co.
Jeannette Glass Co.
Lancaster Glass Co.
H. Northwood & Co.
United States Glass Co. / Tiffin

Carnival Glass

Classic Carnival Glass, defined as pressed glass with a pattern that has been iridized, was made in America from about 1907 to the early 1930s. Five major American glass companies produced Carnival Glass in this Classic Era: Fenton, Dugan-Diamond, Imperial, Millersburg and Northwood.

Glass companies in a variety of countries in Europe began producing Carnival Glass a few years later, in about 1914. Following are listed the major Non-American glass companies in Europe that produced Classic Carnival Glass. Please note, however, there are many that I have not listed including those in Australia, India and South America. The major producers of Carnival Glass in Europe in the Classic Era were in the following countries:

Czechoslovakia – Inwald
England – Sowerby
Finland – Riihimaki
Germany - Brockwitz
Poland – Hortensja
Sweden – Eda Glasbruk

Vaseline Glass

Vaseline Glass, defined as yellow-green glass that is made by adding Uranium Dioxide to the ingredients when the glass formula is made, can have a pressed pattern or be blown-moulded. Production began in the mid- to late-1800s and lasted until the mid-1940s. Vaseline Glass always turns a bright florescent green under a blacklight. The glass companies that produced antique Vaseline are too numerous to list, however a few are the same companies that produced Classic Carnival Glass and American Iridescent Stretch Glass.
